I am so bored, burnt out, tired, tennis elbow, shoulder impingement bla bla bla... normally will go somewhere during the school breaks. Miss my wife-mamaku, kids-yong, ebi, gege, cabi, ayik and pipi. May Allah unite us soon. Really need get away from Hornsby.
School holidays only.left 3 more days. Next week will the term 1 starting. I had half day camp on Thursday. Went home pack a few thing and hit the road. Canberra here I come.
I went to portbike to have my scooter checked. The mechanic decided to switched with other scooter.
Total on the bike is 9 hours. Hornsby- Wollongong-Nowra-Braidwood-Canberra- Goulburn-Moss Vale- Picton-Malaysian Groveries for nasi lemak before headed back to Hornsby.
Lesson learnt from this trip is never ride at night especially if you are using back roads.
I left MG around 4pm on Thursday. Since it was late I have decided to use back road Nowra to Braidwood. The road was so dark, only a few cars passed by. Got more worst when it's was raining and no mobile signal.
About 2 hours in the middle of the forest. Fuel signal started to blinking. The crucial part when I had to decide which junction to choose when there is no mobile signal in Neriga.
From Neringa to Braidwood most of the road are dirt road. So lucky, managed to arrive in Braidwood. The patrol station almost closed. Otherwise, I will be spending the night in Braidwood.
Reached Canberra around 11pm. Get a dinner from McDonald's while searching for the hotel. End up at Mantra hotel. I would sleep in the mosque if I know there is one in front of Malaysia High Commission.
I spent a few minutes in front of MHC. You only can get in if have appointment. I think the only appointment is when I am going to renew my passport in next 2 years 😆 😂.
The Canberra mosque just opposite of Malaysia Hicom. Rest here for a while. I did not wait for Jumaah prayer. I wish I could.
Then went for a coffee and refueled my scooter. Both DSP Nazri and Tuan Fahmi are not available for coffee due to work commitments. It's a weekdays. The coffee and the nut bread was so good. Nut bread become my favorite lately 😋.
Then I went to House of Parliament since it is an iconic place to visit.
Really feels like Putajaya and Washington DC. The traffic, building, vibes, people, the set up etc. Lake in the middle just like Putrajaya wetlands.
Actually after checked out, i was searching for the mosque. The first one is just at function room in one the multicultural building.
The mosque is in this building. No one here when I arrived. According to Google, this mosque is used for Jumaah prayer.
Then the next mosque is in Australia National University. While looking for the musolla, I heard someone asked me what am I looking for? He straight away said, are you Malaysian? I asked back how do you know? He said i am Singaporean. He said he can tell 😆 😂
This is Nivi. Nice to meet you mate. He also a tennis player. I offer him free coaching if he come to Sydney. Haahahha
Then I went to Canberra Tennis Center. Who knows I will be to Canberra for tennis. As far as I am concerned Tennis Australia in Canberra is active. Last month Canberra International was held prior to Australian Open 2025.
Pretty big center. All courts are available- grass, hard, clay and indoors. I registered for coaches conference last month here but didn't make it. Summer this here is so wet. Even my trio here all the way yesterday was drizzling and raining.
The tennis court is on the back to Sydney. I took the route thru Goulburn. Got a few attractions like war memorial here.
I stopped at Lake George rest area. Half way before Goulburn.
From Canberra I have to use motorway to save some time. The traffic is so busy. A lot trucks- I mean trucks with 2 trailers. I changes my route off the motorway.
After Goulburn, I was using old Hume highway from Moss Vale to Sydney. The view is the farms, small towns are stunning 😍 ✨️ 💖. I wish I can afford to have one of those farms.
Traffic were note busy. I am cruising 70-80 kmh until Punchbowl.
I went throght towns like Picton, Marulan, Campbelltown and a few more.
Had nasi lemak first before headed to Hornsby.
Feels relief a bit after a short break.
Where next???
